Pembroke Day was created in 1984 to celebrate the accomplishments of the community, and welcome back those residents who have moved but still love to come back to their hometown to visit, have family reunions, and reminisce with their friends about the good ole times. Pembroke Day is a four day event that begins on a Thursday and concludes on Sunday. These days include Miss Pembroke Pageant, Children's Parade/Movie Night, Pembroke Day Parade/Celebration in the Park and Sunday Service in the Park. This celebration involves friendly family fun and games, local food/craft vendors, and live entertainment

The Miss Pembroke Pageant is a local competition for girls aged 6t o 18 who are looking to be crowned the next Princess, Little Miss or Miss Pembroke. The competition is judged on the candidates talent, poise and ability to articulate an answer to a question asked.

The Children's Parade is a celebration where the children from any community can dress in a costume or make a box float to parade from the 4-way to Martin Luther King Jr. Park for a movie and activities.
